lee min ho's interview

ep090403055ISplus (IS): The “Crash Min Ho” scene at the PaekSang Arts Awards was a hot topic.

Lee Min Ho (LMH): I was embarrassed and humiliated. However, fans warmly cheered me on. I could verify my fans’ love.

IS: What is your life motto?

LMH: “Those who give up cannot gain victory.” It’s not victory that is so important, but the fighting spirit. Even if you fail, I think even just the attitude of not giving up is beautiful in itself.

IS: Have you had a crisis in life that was difficult to endure?

LMH: The car accident I experienced in 2006. During the six months I had to stay at the hospital, I worried a lot about what I would do if I could no longer act. At first, I broke down thinking I may not even be able to walk again.

IS: What method do you use to relieve extreme stress?

LMH: I simply sleep. If I feel like the stress is still there when I wake up, I go back to sleep until the stress goes away. There was a time in the past when I slept for 24 hours straight.

IS: Which negative comment had the biggest impression on you?

LMH: It wasn’t an internet comment; it was a malicious remark that was broadcast. When Gag Concert character Wang Bi Ho (Yoon Hyung Bin) said, “Lee Min Ho, what are you going to do when Boys Over Flowers finishes?” (negative connotation – “What the heck is going to happen to you after BOF finishes?), my chest felt a chill. Figure out how to make a transition from the Gu Jun Pyo character is a big homework project for me.

IS: What do you consider the most when looking at women?

LMH: Her overall style and feeling is most important. Even if she is not beautiful, my heart can be pulled by a strong feeling that comes to me.

IS: When/Where/Who was your first kiss?

LMH: It was in my first year of high school (grade 10) with my girlfriend in front of her house.

IS: If you get a girlfriend, what kind of present would you most want to receive from her?

LMH: I just wish I had a girlfriend. A girlfriend in herself is the present what I want most.

IS: Approximately when did you date your last girlfriend? How long ago was it, what age and what occupation does she have?

LMH: I haven’t had a girlfriend since I dated a fellow university student when I was 20 (Korean age).

IS: If you get a girlfriend, what endearing nickname would you want to call her?

LMH: It would be different depending on her style.

IS: It must have been perplexing when photos of you with some female colleagues were publicized on the internet a while ago.

LMH: It was a little exasperating. They are pictures that could hurt me. Even though they weren’t my girlfriend, people misconstrued them to be. I felt so sorry toward the other people in the photos due to the malicious gossip that was spread.

IS: What will you do if your parents oppose your marriage like Boys Over Flowers’ Gu Jun Pyo?

LMH: I would run away with her. Even if we have to elope (”flight by night”), I would marry her.

IS: Which actress would you like to star opposite?

LMH: I would like to work with my ideal type, Song Hye Kyo sunbae (senior). Although she has an elegant and classic style, her charisma is also strong and her acting talent is outstanding. If we act together, I think I could learn a lot from her. But I’d probably tremble (be nervous) a lot .

IS: Who is the person you want to meet most?

LMH: I would like to meet Hollywood actor, Edward Norton. The way he gives off a comfortable vibe while oozing out charisma is so impressive. If I meet him, I’d request, “I’d like you to be my master (teacher)”. First, I think I need to diligently learn English.

IS: Which athlete do you like the most?

LMH: Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo. On top of having extraordinary talent, he is also good looking. I also dreamt of being a soccer player when I was in elementary school. If I was able to continue playing soccer, maybe I would have been an athlete like Cristiano Ronaldo by now.

IS: What kind of food do you like and is there anything you’re good at cooking?

LMH: I like all meats and am good at cooking all meats. Cooking method? I just grill/roast it. I have a secret grilling method. Beef, pork, chicken, etc. – there’s a different grilling method for each meat. Even if it’s the same meat product, you will marvel if you taste the meat I grill.

IS: Which song is your specialty at karaoke?

LMH: Toy’s “That I was Once By Your Side” (”내가 잠시 너의 곁에 살았다는 걸”). Although Boys Over Flowers‘ Jun Pyo has a rough and defiant image, I’m a sweet romantic. Although I don’t have a talent in singing, I [still] sing because people tell me I do it coolly.

IS: What are some objects that you always carry around in your bag?

LMH: I make sure to pack cologne because I want to be a fragrant guy all the time.

IS: What is your drinking capacity? Which alcohol do you like, where do you drink and with whom?

LMH: I can’t really drink much. It’s difficult to drink past three shots of soju. The alcohol I like are western liquors, although I can’t drink past one or two glasses. I’m not picky about the location. I can adapt to any environment and enjoy myself. However, I want to drink with people I’m confortable with and who don’t pressure me to drink alcohol.

IS: Do you have any jinxes, superstitions or customs?

LMH: I get injured during every film or movie project. Even if I’m careful, I get injured due to unforeseen circumstances.

IS: Do you have any sleeping habits?

LMH: They say I grind my teeth and talk gibberish. When we go on vacation, my friends try to avoid sleeping with me.

IS: Which three objects would you take with you if you had to be stuck on a deserted island?

LMH: A bed, a lighter, and a cellular phone. I’ll need to take a good bed in order to sleep well. Even if I’m on a deserted island, I’ll need to cook the food in order to eat it. Especially for someone like me who loves meat, a lighter is a mandatory requirement. Even if I’m stuck on the deserted island, I’d need to talk with people on the phone so that I don’t get bored. Plus, I have a lot of games downloaded on my cellphone.

IS: Name a characteristic that you’re jealous of from each F4 member.

LMH: Kim Beom’s small face, Kim Joon hyung’s big eyes, and Kim Hyun Joong’s white (pale) face. Still, overall, I’m the most…

ko hye sun talk about her roll in "boys over flower"

“Loving someone despite all obstacles may be one of the most difficult things in life. It may be harder than living in poverty,” said Ku Hye-sun, who is playing the heroine whom two of the four protagonists are pursuing in the KBS2 hit drama “Boys Over Flower.” And that is why most women viewers are jealous of her.

In an interview at a shooting site at Eulwangri Beach in Incheon on Sunday, Ku said, “I was skeptical about its success when I decided to take the role. I doubted it would appeal to Koreans because it is based on a Japanese comic book. Taking the role itself was a challenge.”

Geum Jan-di, whom she plays, is an ordinary high school student who wants to be a swimmer. She happens to attend a school for rich children although her family is poor, with her parents running a small cleaners that they eventually lose to creditors. This gets her subjected to contempt and mistreatment, but she tries not to lose her dignity and faces her situation squarely.

Ku confessed that she herself couldn’t understand the character completely. “There were moments that I couldn’t sympathize with her. If I had been able to, I would not have had conflicts in my mind. I wondered why she tries to deal with all her difficulties alone and why she feels she has to take care of her family.”

But the 25-year-old actress said that Jan-di has made her a more genuine and happier person. “By playing the role, I have become more positive. I was sorry to realize that I am losing innocence as I get older, and that made it more difficult for me to be Jan-di. So whenever I couldn’t identify with her, I kind of forced myself to become more innocent.”

She continued, “And I actually recalled my high school years, and realized that what I cherished most then was the people I liked. It seems I felt that if I could be with them, I could do anything.”

The drama is enjoying great popularity thanks to Ku and the other stars who are giving their utmost effort despite some misfortunes they have suffered. Ku had a car accident on her way back to Seoul from a local shooting site and had to have the inside of her mouth stitched.

“I have to get a thorough examination when the shooting ends. I bumped my head hard as well, but had no time to get an examination due to the shooting schedule,” she said. “The schedule is so tight that we all have trouble with our physical conditions. We are suffering lack of sleep so much that we can fall asleep at any moment. Now that all the shooting will be over in a week, we will hang in there until then.”

In Incheon, she shot a scene where Jan-di, who has decided to part ways with her boyfriend Jun-pyo, played by Lee Min-ho, due to his mother’s disapproval, goes on a trip with him for the last time.

“But I want it to come to a happy ending. I personally like stories with happy endings because they warm people’s hearts. I hope my drama is also one of those kinds,” said Ku.

koo hye sun debut as writter

buffy-ghstangoActress Koo Hye-sun, who played Geum Jan-di in a hit drama, “Boys over Flowers,” is enjoying brisk sales of her first novel, “Tango.” First published on April 1st, Koo’s debut fiction has already sold 30 thousand copies and gone into seventh printing. This is an amazing sales record, given that it’s her first novel.

“Tango” is an illustrated fiction that features a woman in her 20s, who grows emotionally by falling in love and breaking up. Book critics and readers commented that Koo’s realistic description of the girl’s psychological and emotional upheavals made the character is easy to identify with. The actress reportedly worked very hard on the novel, asking first for her laptop, which contained the manuscript, even when she was in a car accident.

Boys Before Flowers will see Goo Hye Sun playing a leading role. She expressed, “It would be a lie if I said I was not feeling the burden.”

The Korean version sees Goo Hye Sun playing Yeon Woo who is an average girl and whose family owns dry-cleaning shop that is located near the luxurious and well-known Shin Hwa College. Yeon Woo meets the four richest spoilt boys when she delivers laundry to the school one day. The boys are known as F4 and causes trouble to those who dares to oppose them. More surprises are in store for F4 when Yeon Woo surprisingly enters the college for studies.
Goo Hye Sun have participated in two period dramas in King and I and Strongest Chil-Woo in the earlier part of 2008. Both saw her acting in roles that were more mature than her actual age. However, for Boys Before Flowers, she will be wearing school uniforms and play a high-school girl.

Goo Hye Sun expressed, “It would be a lie if I said I was not feeling the burden. But I feel that I can assimilate myself into the role as time goes by. I have never been more happy just preparing myself for the role. I hope that this drama will meet everyone’s expectations and I will give it my best effort.”

In other casting news that’s confirmed, Han Go Eun will play Goo Joon Pyo’s (Lee Min Ho) sister while Han Chae Young has been confirmed in a cameo role as Yoon Ji Hoo’s (Kim Hyun Joong) first love. The 24 episodes Boy Before Flowers is likely to air just before 2008 ends in December on KBS2TV.

It’s a drama that I got crazy before it broadcast. I can’t wait to watch this drama because of the cast. The cast are so gorgeous.

MAIN CAST

Koo Hye Sun as Geum Jan Di

koo-hye-sun

She is perfect for this role. Like her name Jan Di (wild grass) this girl is really strong from the beginning till the end. Geum Jan Di Hwaiting!

Lee Min Ho as Goo Joon Pyo

lee-min-ho

waw! At the beginning of this drama, I thought that he is not as handsome as the other F4. Well, when he straighten his hair at episode 4, I started to love him. I can’t wait to see him accepting that he is in love with Jan Di

Kim Hyun Joong as Yoon Ji Hoo

kim-hyun-joong

I will curse him if he did not act well in this drama. The thing that he left Hwang Bo in We Got Married makes me sad. He had promise to Hwang Bo that he will act well, so let’s see his acting. At first, I really didn’t recognize him. He is so ackward and weird. He doesn’t show the true charm of Hyun Joong (Watch We Got Married and you will see them). But after episode and episode I watch and his story becomes brighter, He kind of showing me another charm of Kim Hyun Joong. I hope he really do well in this drama.

Kim Bum as So Yi Jung

kim-bum

Man! He is so damn cute!!! When he smile I thought an angel fall down from the sky. Very very cute! I love the scene when he making potclay and when he play the saxophone. That is so sexy. I hope my future husband is someone like him. HAHAHA

Kim Joon as Song Woo Bin

kim-joon

I never thought his small part at this drama will become bigger because he and Yi Jung always be the one who solve Joon Pyo’s problems. At episode 4, when he and Yi Jung wanted to prove that Jan Di is still virgin, he dance with a girl. His dancing was not bad but it’s funny. It’s like while he dance he was thinking “oh my god! I can’t dance but I have to. What do I do? Should I move my right of left foot?”. He often talk with English and I think thats a good pronaunciation.

kim hyun joong photo part!

Kim Hyun Joong Photos Part 1

I just realize that I have so many of his photos in my computer. I feel terrible if I didn’t upload it here. I know him from We Got Married. From that show, I know that he is the leader of SS501. Then, I start to listen their music and became their fans.

Because he has to act in Boys Before Flowers, he has to quit We Got Married. Leaving Hwang Bo as a widow. They are called “lettuce couple” and has so many fans. I hope after he finish this drama he want to join WGM back with Hwang Bo. I really miss the true Kim Hyun Joong.

Kim So Eun Prefers Joon Pyo Over Yi Jung

Kim So Eun is currently playing as Chu Ga Eul in KBS Boys Before Flowers and had made her debut through CFs in 2005 when she was in her 3rd year of junior-high. When the interview was done last Friday with Kim So Eun, she had justcome off from a 2-day marathon filming session lasting till daybreak and fatique was etched all over her face. The intense filming schedule had caused So Eun to feel extremely lethargic but the continous high ratings have made it very satisfying for her.

When So Eun walks on the streets now, people now recognize her and would express, "it's Ga Eul, so pretty" with more and more people are also coming up to her, requesting for her to take a photo with them. "I do feel the popularity that I am getting now. I am very happy and it gives me energy when it happens." But the success did not come instantly until her roles in Iron Empress and Boys Before Flowers recently. So Eun started out with CFs and small roles in MBC dramas Sisters of the Sea and Sad Love Song in 2005. So Eun admitted she felt even more tired when the filming schedules for Iron Empress and Boys Before Flowersclashed and she had to rush from one location to the other. While she was the outgoing, brave, straightfoward Hwang Bo Soo (young Empress Chun Chu) in Iron Empress, she had to switch into a shy high-school girl in Boys Before Flowers, this frequent change of roles sometimes leaves her feeling confused. But thankfully, her run in Iron Empress is now over and she can focus fully on her role in Boys Before Flowers.

But frankly, who does Kim So Eun resemble more in real life between Hwang Bo Soo and Ga Eul? Kim So Eun replied tactfully, "When I am with my friends, I resemble Hwang Bo Soo. When I am by myself, I am like Ga Eul. When I meet people whom I am seeing for the first time, I don't really talk much. And when they review my scenes on the camera, I am so shy that I can't even watch myself on camera."

If you notice from last week, scenes of Ga Eul have increased tremendously. Fans of the Yi Jung - Ga Eul couple in the drama have even started calling them the So-Eul couple although at the present moment, it seems to be just one-way love by Ga Eul towards Yi Jung. The excellent chemistry showed by the both of them is perhaps underlined by the fact that both are actually classmates at Chung-Ang University, majoring in film studies. "We are just normal friends in school while we become colleagues at the film set. Compared to other cast members, its easier for us to strike a conversation and that explains our chemistry, I guess. We look out for each other and also crack jokes."

When asked who is her ideal type among F4, So Eun replied, "It's Goo Joon Pyo. He might look really perfect but surprisingly, he does have some flaws and areas where he could improve on. Guys like these look really charismatic to me. As for playboys like So Yi Jung, I will definitely not forgive them (smiles)."

Rising Star of 2009 – Kim So Eun

Up and coming actress Kim So Eun is undoubtedly one of the most popular and talented rising new stars in 2009, who has impressed many with her roles in Empress Chun Chu and Boys Before Flowers, both KBS dramas.

kse1

In Empress Chun Chu, Kim So Eun plays the younger version of Hwang Bo Soo (older version played by Chae Si Ra), who later becomes the empress of the Goryeo Dynasty. Starting from Episode 2, her vivid portrayal of the leading character has seen many giving her the ‘little Chae Si Ra’ nickname. At the same time, she is also acting as the best friend of Geum Jandi (Goo Hye Sun) in Boys Before Flowers who is a childish yet highly motivated high-school girl.

“I feel that I still have a lot of inadequacies. It is a pity but because of the praises by many, I am now motivated to proceed on. Despite the fact that I have only have scenes for 7 episodes, I have actually learnt horse riding and archery within a span of 3 months. My skin even had callus (thickened) due to the repeated plucking of the bow string for filming needs,” said Kim So Eun.

kse2

Kim So Eun, who usually plays a teenage or high-school girl, has achieved a breakthrough in her acting path. In Empress Chun Chu, Kim So Eun has had to contend with marriage, giving birth and losing her husband within the span of 7 episodes. This almost equates to a life experience of a normal adult with the exception of death. Although she has been turned back to a high-school girl in Boys Before Flowers, she is now able to portray the role with ease.

“I have been really busy acting as a queen over the weekend and a normal citizen from Monday to Friday. I have both the loyalty personality of Empress Chun Chu and also the childishness of Chu Ga Eul at the same time.”

The way Kim So Eun entered the entertainment industry is pretty unique. During her school days, she had dreamt of being a designer. As her mum had an interest in photography, Kim So Eun was often the model for her mum.

“My parents didn’t really like me studying arts and actually wanted me to become an actress instead. However, due to my persistence in not wanting to become one, so they just let me be and I learnt arts during my free time. But since I am an actress now, I think that this is probably my destiny.”

Kim Bum, With Sweet Day’s fan meeting!

Kim Bum, With Sweet Day’s fan meeting!

It’s time for Kim Bum after Kim Hyun Joong’s made his fan meeting.

Kim Bum spent time with his (more or less)600 fans from Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and even Guatemala. (Too bad no one from Indonesia, if there is one, it must be me and you lolz ^^).

And also not to miss the appearance from his fellow actor friends in Boys Before Flower, Kim Hyun Joong and Kim Joon. Lee Min Ho was unable to attend due to his schedule in Thailand. Not to miss Kim Joon performance, he sang Paradise (Boys Before Flower OST) with his T-Max members.

Kim Bum gave mugs, plates, teacups, which he make by himself, to his fans. He had to search for studio for him to make these gifts to his fans. Lastly, he thanked his fans saying Thank you for giving me your precious time. Let’s have a happy and fun time together.

Hwaiting Kim Bum~~~ <3

Will be waiting for his next movies and dramas.

Kim Bum to be released from the Hospital

After being hospitalized from his car accident two days ago.Boys Over Flowers' rising star, Kim Bum, is ready to be released from the hospital by the end of this week! Although our little "Bummie" is feeling a lot better thanks to the medical care and support of his fans, he is still required to wear a cast on his leg for several weeks. This will put a little damper on his role in the hit drama, for Kim Bum will be shooting all of his scenes while sitting down. So that means no more "fighting-with-his-foot-while-his-hands-are-still-in-his-pockets" scenes for our dear Bummie. But it's okay, since our Kim Bum looks good standing up, sitting down, or in any other position.

While many people seem to hold this so-called "BOF Curse" accountable for the streak of car accidents happening to the cast. I blame only the aggressive drivers and over-crowded streets of South Korea. I'm seriously surprised there aren't more stars in accidents! Luckily the cast have made it out alive.
